SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) is mounted on a Space Shuttle and obtains Earth surface data by remote sensing technology utilizing a synthetic aperture radar. Obtained data will be converted into height data called a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), and will be utilized to generate a more precise three-dimensional map of larger observation area of the Earth than has ever been possible (JAEA, 1999).
The Slope function calculates the maximum rate of change between each cell and its neighbors, for example, the steepest downhill descent for the cell (the maximum change in elevation over the distance between the cell and its eight neighbors). Every cell in the output raster has a slope value. The lower the slope value, the flatter the terrain; the higher the slope value, the steeper the terrain. The output slope raster can be calculated as percent of slope or degree of slope.
Langkah-langkahnya sebagai berikut :
1. Open data SRTM di Global Mapper => Projection dirubah ke UTM
2. Export Raster and Elevation Data => Export GeoTIFF
3. GeoTIFF Options (Elevation - 32 bit floating point samples)
4. Export Bounds (pilih lokasi yg mau diexport saja)
5. Aktifkan menu 3D Analyst di ArcGIS Desktop
6. Tools => Extentions => contreng 3D Analyst
7. Tools => Customize => contreng 3D Analyst
8. Add file GeoTIFF di ArcGIS
9. 3D Analyst => Surface Analysis => Slope
10. Klik di salah satu Classify di Layer
11. Reclassify => klik di salah satu row Set values to Reclassify => Classify
12. Method : Equal Interval => Classes : 5
13. Ganti angka klasifikasi dengan 0-6, 6-12, 12-16, 16-25, 25-90
14. Jumlah class dan angka klasifikasi class disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan.

makasih sekali ya, pak..membantu banget...
ReplyDeletepak, kalau mau downscale data SRTM caranya bagaimana ? (misal dari SRTM 90m ke 30m)
ReplyDeletethanks
